…get the cutest families? For real! I’m talking, sweetest, kindest and absolutely the cutest families. I am so blessed. Every family is special and has their own thing that makes them unique. I get to see that play out during sessions. At some point the kids get comfortable and… THAT’S when the fun begins! That’s when the kids shine. And THAT’S when my heart flutters.

It’s true. Little dude was offered ice cream to help entice him to smile… by the end of the session, I was ready to ask here we were going for ice-cream. I stopped myself! I’m not that crazy! Well, I am blogging this story… Anyhow! I was having so much fun and didn’t want the session to end! Seriously! The tenderness, love, and joy you feel when you look at these images is for real and its something you want to be around. New friends and a new location… I couldn’t have asked for more! Maybe Ice-cream. 😉
These are wonderful!!!! Fantastic pictures! Where was this? Such a sweet family. Whoo hoo! My old stomping grounds! I was SO excited when Tamara wanted to go to the beach! And at some point asked if there was a basketball court nearby… I had two places in mind Stinson or Sausalito and Cronkite. I chose Sausalito because I knew the tress would give us some gorgeous fall colors and I didn’t want to risk carsick kids. But, for the record… I am totally down for a Stinson Beach session ANYTIME! Looking at the pictures I chose to blog it does look like almost two different days… same day and the session wasn’t even a very long one. (The boys may beg to differ… ;)) If you want a beach session in Northern California, you have to realize it can go from sunny to foggy in a minute! You might get sunny pics or you might get foggy, but either way… it is always magical.
How fun! Seriously! Tommy… or is it Thomas? I’m sticking with Tommy. He was JUST a scruffy little boy practicing his times tables on his Leap Frog Slam-It! How can he be graduating High School? Crazy! Tommy’s big heart and talent is going to take him far in life. I feel blessed that I got to watch him grow and see that little scrappy kid turn into a pretty awesome man.
This was a difficult session for me, I was trying to be cool and hold back all the emotions that welling up in me. I was trying to make it as painless as I could for Tommy, and work efficiently, but I was also going to lose it. Where did the time go?

He is one handsome young man! Okay… We didn’t know that was Ellie Mae in there. I’m slightly late in blogging this. I have no excuses. Only a husband 5 kids, three of which are homeschooled and one who is a tad high maintenance, three chickens, a dog, two fish, a glorious garden, a photography business… I’m teasing! I love it all! This shower for my sis and bro in law was a group effort. Full of sweet touches from people who love them dearly. We grew up in a small town and went to a small high school and both of us have kept in touch with our high school besties. They all offered to help. Even an old co worker of Amanda’s came early to help! Amanda is super loved. Amanda’s friends helped… my friends helped… it was awesome! This was on the drive to Mill Valley… the clouds on the cake match the clouds in the sky!
Lady in the red leggings… Nancy. She loves me and Amanda like we are hers. We are. Her love language is feeding people, and ours is eating. It was a match made in Heaven. 😉 See that food table? Nancy and Danielle did all that. And the couple on either side of Jillian… Dave and Danielle. They love me. Maybe Amanda too. 😉
If you look closely you can see in a few pictures some random things like small pin wheels, ribbon and rid-rac. Those were contributions from the little girls. They were so proud of their efforts!
Not only do Shans cakes and cookies look amazing… They taste amazing! I’m pretty sure I ate two of those huge cookies. And a piece of cake. The dessert table… Amanda’s friend Jane contacted me and asked what she could do, I held my breath and just asked for what I REALLY needed… Baby’s Breath clouds. Much to my delight, she was all for it! And they were better then I could have imagined! And to add to the perfection… Katie’s gift. I saw it and asked if I could use it as decor. This was such a group effort. Letting go and letting others help with this shower is really what made it so special!
The “guestbook” onsies to sign and we also had diapers and sharpies and asked guests to write funny things on them, to give mom and dad something to laugh at during those long nights. Amanda and Siobhan… Siobhan and Amanda Me, Amanda and Siobhan. (Clearly we were on a hill and I was on the downhill side.) Besties and baby besties!
