Homegrown Photography » Your Homegrown Stories

The last Day of 2012…

The girls woke up and wanted to snuggle in bed with me and it just didn’t work. Not enough room, they could’t agree on a show to watch on the iPad and then they couldn’t agree on a story line while playing dolls… it was a mess instead of sweet and cuddly. I had it. Before I got annoyed, I kicked them out and with sad faces we all filed downstairs.

Sensing the girls needed some structured time… I busted out nail polish and the foot spa!

Pedis and manis!!!

Brady was finishing up some school work and wouldn’t stop to join us. Aprarently algebra is more fun the pedis and manis for 13 year old boys. ๐Ÿ˜‰

How Do I Love Thee… {Suisun City Family Photography}

I can’t even begin to count the ways!!!

So, I’m big about telling your stories… Homegrown stories! I love love! I love what makes you and your family special, unique and YOU! Capturing that is such a thrill for me! It’s like winning the Lotto! Spending time with families, learning all the quirks and super cool things that make each one different is the biggest gift I can get! I LOVE IT! I try to get clients to help me tell their story, by doing something, bringing something or being somewhere that is special to them.

Check out this session…

Their story started in High school, so of course we went to their high school with the kids!

I’m about to cry!

High School sweethearts! Could you die?

Check out this chapter of their love story…

(I like the …’s They add drama.)

I do have to add… this sweet family has a whole ‘lotta people who love and adore them! Anytime I post a picture of one of them on FB or her I get 50 zillion hits! Hi all of Jazzy’s and J.Paul’s loved ones! Are we not completely blessed to have all of them in our lives!?

Guess What Time it is….

CHRISTMAS! The lighted boat parade is really the official start to Christmas for us! Our town is so cute!

The folks at the yacht club deck their boats out with hundreds of lights and circle the marina. Usually only once or maybe twice…

This event is an all day event. See the folks across the water? Quite a lot of people for such a rainy day!

And the last boat carries Santa in to light up the big Christmas tree.

This year, this very rainy year, the boats went around THREE times.

Time out!

I think Santa and Mrs. Clause are fighting.

See! Look at Mrs. Clause! And there is Santa ignoring her! I’m sure she just wants him to get inside so he doesn’t get all wet! He could catch a cold!

That could ruin Christmas!

Lots of rain! And they had a few announcements to make…

A few LOOOOONG announcements.

I think they need a new light stringer… Or whatever you call a person who strings lights.

The group shot didn’t work, but I tried.

Then the walk home to eat soup and drink hot coco!

Aren’t They The Sweetest? Suisun Family Photographer

Aren’t they just the sweetest family? This was a very last minute session. And can you believe the sun? It was raining cats and DAWGS that morning!

We didn’t have much time so I ran them around the marina quickly with me snapping here and there! I lamented about the empty field I loved that was turned into a parking lot…

((((SIGH))))

I’m so sad. It was full of weeds and next to a brick wall… Just the place I like to take pictures. I’m odd. I know.

Anyhow, I love and adore this family! I am really blessed to have them in my life. “Mr. B.” has quite an impact on my Jane. Not only does she come home from church raving about “Mr. B’s” snack, but she can also tell me what he taught her! ๐Ÿ˜‰

And 1 and 2nd graders are ย not the easiest group to teach!

These boys are awesome brothers and their mother is one of my favorite people! She wow’s me every chance I get to talk to her.

I could go on and on…

Just check them out yourselves!

These two are so completely in love…

I love love…

Can you even take in all this sweetness?

I KNOW!!!!!

Oh! That face! I could eat her!!!

Who has her big brothers wrapped around her finger? This cutie!

She has her daddy wrapped around her finger too! Heck! Who am I kidding? She has me wrapped around my finger!

I love you thank you so much these made me cry. You made me fall in love with my family all over again!

Nature Decorated for Christmas!

Yesterday morning was crazy foggy! You could see the sun trying to burn the fog away, which made for such pretty light. And for some reason there seemed to be spiders EVERYWHERE! Jane and I saw a couple of HUGE Orb Weavers! No joke! They were monstrous! Their webs were so stunning, she ended up late for school because we were marveling over the huge dew covered webs.

I decided to take the kids I had with me for a walk. To look at the different webs and get out in this magical light.

Look! The spiders decorated!

Natures glitter and sparkles! Pretty Right?

Amanda

So amazing!! I don’t like spiders whatsoever, but you got great photos of their webs!!! It’s like they really were decorating! And the rain drops? Stunning!!

Nicky Picky Pooh Pooh
